Project Management Support – OMRON Pharmacy-based Hypertension Care Pilot Program

Client: PharmAccess Foundation. 

IHC coordinated the pilot program for the OMRON pharmacy-based hypertension care in Lagos State. The primary objective was to determine if pharmacy-based hypertension care is preferred over regular hospital-based care. In other words, checkmating the challenges of distance, cost of receiving care, and the long waiting time to be attended to in a hospital. IHC was responsible for coordinating the participants’ recruitment, conducting site visits, monitoring, supporting logistics, and ensuring quality assurance throughout the program.

There is potential for pharmacy-based interventions.

 

Country representative for medical product registration with NAFDAC (2015-2018, 2020-2022, and 2024-2025).

Client: InTec Products, Inc. 

We were InTec representatives in Nigeria for registering and renewing their products with NAFDAC in Nigeria. The products included Anti-TP, HBsAg test card, Anti-HCV test card, ABO & RhD Blood Grouping Kit, Anti-HIV test, and Anti-HCV test cards. IHC was the sole distributor of InTec products in Nigeria between (2016-2017).

 

Coordination and Logistics Support

Client: PATH 

IHC organized and coordinated a two-day learning workshop for the implementation of 7.1% chlorhexidine for umbilical cord care (CHX) and scaled up in 9 Francophone West Africa. We planned a field visit within Nigeria for the participants. We planned and arranged the accommodation and logistics for the participants from the 9 Francophone countries.

 

Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) Launch of Nigeria Country Plan and Signing of Declaration of Partnership.

Client: Family Health International (FHI360)/ USAID 

IHC, in collaboration with FHI 360, planned and coordinated the launch of the Nigeria Country Plan and the signing of the declaration of partnership under the Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) Program. We engaged and coordinated diverse stakeholder groups from different economic sectors (both local and international) and over 45 exhibitors..

A successful launch event produced a national country plan and a signed declaration of partnership for global food security.

 

Global Food Security Strategy (GFSS) Whole-System in a Room Workshop Coordination.

Client: Family Health International (FHI360). 

IHC organized and coordinated the GFSS workshop, which assisted the Nigeria Mission in reviewing the country-specific food security and nutrition evidence, socializing the new GFSS and outlining an interagency country plan. This support was provided through the Feed the Future Catalyzing Partnerships for Scale Associate Award. It utilized FHI 360’s communications-driven System-wide Collaborative Action for Livelihoods and the Environment (SCALE+) methodology. We supported the workshop’s coordination, planning and facilitation in Lagos, Abuja and Kano States.

A documented streamlined thoughts from individual stakeholder groups and mixed stakeholder groups on reducing hunger, malnutrition, and poverty in Nigeria.

 

Capacity building for AJWS Grantees Support.

Client: American Jewish World Service. 

IHC provided support for in-country short-term consultancy on capacity building for AJWS grantees.

Client: Wondfo Biotech Co. Ltd.

IHC represented Wondfo in Nigeria for the registration of their medical products with NAFDAC. The products included Anti-HCV, Anti-Malaria, Anti-HIV, and HBsAg test cards.

 

Elicited interest from manufacturers for production of 7.1% chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX) for umbilical cord care.

Client: PATH 

IHC supported the identification, selection, and coordination of location manufacturers with the capacity for mass production of CHX in Nigeria.
