Assessment of Nasarawa State Primary Health Care Management Capacity

InSiGHt Health Consulting conducted a Primary Healthcare (PHC) management capacity assessment to identify gaps within the state’s PHC management system and develop strategies to enhance service delivery. The assessment involved comprehensive health facility evaluations, key stakeholder interviews, and focus group discussions to ensure a holistic understanding of the system’s challenges.
The process culminated in the validation of findings and the co-creation of a costed PHC management capacity strengthening plan, led by state stakeholders, to drive sustainable improvements in PHC service delivery
Lagos State Human Resource for Health (HRH) Assessment

InSiGHt Health Consulting supported the first comprehensive Human Resources for Health (HRH) assessment in Lagos State, led by our Principal Consultant. The project involved an in-depth evaluation of over 200 health facilities, including private facilities, to assess health workforce information, service availability, and HR management systems. The assessment examined critical factors such as workforce stock, distribution, production/supply, and attrition, utilizing WHO’s HRH tools for policy, health regulation, and training evaluation.
The scope covered 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), 5 state-specific regulatory bodies, 10 training institutions, 4 tertiary institutions, 23 general hospitals, and 230 health facilities. Findings from this extensive assessment were disseminated to stakeholders, providing key insights that informed policy development and strategic planning for health workforce improvement in Lagos State
Development of integrated training curriculum for comprehensive HIV service provision
Client: Hygeia Nigeria Limited Foundation
We developed a comprehensive and integrated curriculum for HIV care for the Hygeia Foundation Global Fund facilities providing HIV services. The curriculum integrated adult ART, PMTCT, management of Opportunistic infections, clinical mentoring, and others.
Through this, we improved and integrated HIV services into the comprehensive HIV training curriculum.
