Scoping Exercise of the Health Policies and Financial Structures.

Client: PharmAccess Foundation

InSiGHt Health Consulting conducted a comprehensive scoping exercise across five Nigerian states: Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Borno, and Yobe. This exercise aimed to evaluate the existing health policies and frameworks, leadership and governance structures, health service demand and supply patterns, and health financing mechanisms within these states.

The findings from this exercise informed the development of robust health policy frameworks and provided detailed insights into health service demand and supply across the intervention states. These outcomes were disseminated to key stakeholders to support the strategic planning, development, and implementation of evidence-based health programs

 

Development of the National AIDS/STDs Control Programme (NASCP) Operational Plan

Client: Clinton Health Access Initiative

We collaborated with the National AIDS and STIs Control Programme (NASCP) to develop and cost the 2016 operational plan, utilizing a participatory approach that engaged representatives from all agency departments. The plan comprehensively outlined the activities of all units, including logistics, laboratory services, strategic information, testing and counseling, advocacy, communication and social mobilization, program development, administration, and prevention.

This initiative successfully delivered a detailed and actionable NASCP operational plan, aligning departmental efforts with the agency’s strategic goals.

 

Development of the National Guidelines for Scaling-up Private Providers’ Access to Government Commodities

Client: Abt Associates/SHOPS

InSiGHt Health Consulting supported the Strengthening Health Outcomes through the Private Sector (SHOPS) project in developing National Guidelines to enhance private sector providers’ access to free government family planning (FP) commodities in Nigeria.

This collaboration resulted in the successful development of comprehensive national guidelines aimed at scaling up access to free FP commodities through private sector service delivery points.

 

Strategic Map Development

Client: Society for Quality HealthCare in Nigeria (SQHN)   

IHC led the process of developing SQHN’s 5-year strategic plan. The process involved an extensive desk review of available literature on accreditation processes and practices in various countries and the conduct of key informant interviews with various in-country and international stakeholders to better inform the local context and strategic approach for SQHN – a key national stakeholder in healthcare quality in Nigeria.

A 5-year strategic plan was developed for SQHN.

 

Engagement of private sector for Support to National Malaria Program (SuNMaP) Projection

Client: SuNMaP   

IHC conducted a review and analysis of the implementation of the Lagos State Annual Operational Plan (AOP) 2011; identified gaps and recommendations, and generated priority areas for the 2012 AOP.

Findings from the review and analysis of the AOP 2011 was used to generate Priority areas for AOP 2012.
